REALTORS® Political Action Committee

Purpose:

The REALTORS® Political Action Committee shall be organized and operated primarily for the purpose of collecting contributions to support candidates for state and local political office in the State of Georgia.

Composition: 

Number of Trustees: Sixteen
Chairman: Elected by the Board of Trustees and subject to confirmation by the President-elect
Vice Chairman: Elected by the Board of Trustees and subject to confirmation by the President-elect
Treasurer: Elected by the Board of Trustees and subject to confirmation by the President-elect
Makeup: Sixteen At-large members including at least one member from each Congressional District (either office or home). There shall be one Trustee elected from each of the congressional districts of Georgia, plus three at-large trustees, all of which shall be subject to confirmation by the President-elect. (Note: There shall be an Alternate Trustee from each Congressional District who may only vote in the absence of his or her Congressional District Trustee.)

Restrictions:

  • Except for the Chairman, Vice Chairman and Treasurer of the REALTORS® Political Action Committee, no more than two members may be from the same primary Member Board
  • Except for the Chairman, Vice Chairman and Treasurer of the REALTORS® Political Action Committee, no more than two members may be from the same Congressional District
  • No contributing members

Term: Two years (staggered)

Limits: No member may serve more than six consecutive years except that the Trustee who is elected to serve as Chairman during his or her fifth or sixth year may serve up to two additional years.
